The sunny days of spring are here and with them comes the urge to picnic. What could be better than lunch on the grass in the heart of Paris? But be warned; you’ll be spoiled for choice among the capital’s many beautiful green spaces! The Hotel Volney Opera offers some suggestions for perfect Parisian picnic locations...
The Jardin des Tuileries; a royal garden
Located between the Louvre Palace, the Rue de Rivoli, the Place de la Concorde and the Seine, this is the oldest and largest French-style garden in Paris. Statues by Maillol stand next to those of Giacometti and two sparkling ponds invite walkers to relax. A gorgeous spot for a picnic break in the dappled shade of venerable trees.

The Jardin de Reuilly is the largest landscaped public park in the 12th arrondissement. It boasts a large lawn spanned by a cable footbridge bearing the Promenade Plantée linear park. The Parc André Citroën is the capital’s newest park.
